Mixing Valve Enclosure (referred to as MVE)

Single Valve Version Model: VertiMix 1 - 24 - FRP

Enclosures are made of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) are rated NEMA 4x and have quick release latches that can be locked. Single valve enclosures are 12” x 10” x 6” H x W x D. Each single valve version has one (1) injection valve that is solenoid controlled and pilot air assisted. The valve body and manifold base are made of anodized aluminum. Seals are Nitril/Buna-N. The valve is a positive sealing poppet valve designed to be self-compensating for wear and non-lubed service. Valves are manufactured by Ross Controls. The controller is an Unitronics Model V-120 PLC. The controller has a display which allows operators to change the pulse rate, pulse duration and intermittent operation timers. MVEs are pre-piped with 304 stainless steel 1” ID pipe and fittings and are factory tested for leaks and function. The VertiMix MVE requires a 110 Vac, 60 Hz, 20-amp electrical service. A 24 Vdc switching power supply is provided in the MVE to power the valve and PLC. MVEs can be turned-on or turned-off remotely if desired.

Mixing Valve Enclosure (referred to as MVE)

Dual Valve Version: VertiMix 2 - 24 - FRP

Enclosures are made of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) are rated NEMA 4x and have quick release latches that can be locked. Dual valve enclosures are 14” x 12” x 7” H x W x D. The dual valve version has two (2) injection valves that are solenoid controlled and pilot air assisted. The valve bodies and manifold bases are made of anodized aluminum. Seals are Nitril/Buna-N. The valves are positive sealing poppet valves designed to be self-compensating for wear and non-lubed service. Valves are manufactured by Ross Controls. The controller is an Unitronics Model V-120 PLC. The controller has a display which allows operators to change the pulse rate, pulse duration and intermittent operation timers. Bubble Forming Plate (Referred to as BFP)

Part No. DFP-8ss

Each valve needs at least one (1) 8-inch diameter 316 stainless steel BFP for each mixing zone. Up to 2 BFPs can be used with a valve in wastewater projects and up to 4 BFPs per valve in liquids with relatively low viscosities. A BFP consists of two disks separated approximately 3/8 inch apart by internal spacers. Air is injected through a 1-inch MNPT threaded nipple in the top disk to the space between the disks where it is forced laterally to form the mixing air mass. Three 3/8-inch diameter, equally spaced holes in the disks are used for anchoring the forming plate to the tank bottom using concrete lag screws. For glass lined/metal floors, magnets can be attached to each BFP to anchor the BFP in place.
